Rescue story
Hui Sheng grew up at the rescue. He was adopted and returned twice when he was still a puppy. With careful daily care from the rescue, he grew into a handsome and loveable young dog. Hui Sheng is cautious and slow to warm up with people, so he needs patient guidance.

When Hui Sheng first arrived, he was too nervous to step out of the airline crate in front of us. We respected his choice and gave him his own space. Because he is so clever, he quickly learnt where to toilet indoors and could happily spend long stretches of time on his own. Once we started taking him outside, he learnt to come out by himself before walks and calmly put on his lead. Even when he was trembling with nerves, he still chose to go out and explore. His lead walking has been excellent from the first day: around cars, dogs and passers-by, he can stay calm and walk beautifully. Over time, through a steady routine and our daily walks together, trust has slowly grown between us. Hui Sheng now chooses to come closer to us in more and more situations. Over the past four months, we have seen new changes in him every day. We hope he will soon feel relaxed enough to show us the playful, confident side he has when he is on his own. At home, he is very respectful with the resident cat. When he meets other dogs outside, his body language is polite, and he only chooses to play with dogs who are polite too.
