Rescue story

My name is Silver, and my Chinese name is Hanhan. I may now be a fluffy little gentleman living happily on the grass in the Netherlands, but I was once a lucky survivor rescued from the despair of a dog-meat truck in China. I am a distinctive Shih Tzu and terrier mix, with the round innocent eyes of a Shih Tzu and the little moustache of a terrier. The hardship I went through has now been washed silver-white by my family's love. These days, after crossing half the world to my new home in the Netherlands, I am loved by the whole family and have become a super affectionate little warm-hearted boy. Every morning, the moment I open my eyes and see my person, it is the happiest moment of my day. I wriggle my whole body, wag my tail like a little windmill and say good morning with everything I have. On peaceful sunny afternoons, I love lying quietly beside my person; even doing nothing together makes me feel safe. And when it is mealtime, I never waste a single bite. The world was once cruel to me, but because of my family, my world now holds morning light, warm afternoons and the smell of good food.

Adoption note

Adopted in Eindhoven, Netherlands, 2026

There are four people in the family, and he goes out three times a day: mum walks him in the morning, his sister walks him at noon, and the whole family walks him together in the evening. He eats two meals a day plus some snacks, is emotionally steady, does not bark much, follows beautifully on walks and is truly an angel dog.
